Hello,  I would like to see bev and the mid to late seventies lineup of ELO do something in 05 or 06.
What are the chances of that?
Good to see bev is doing something though.

Chances? Next to none I would think!

Jeff only seems to come out for the odd book launch or trip to the R&R Hall of Fame these days, and always did hate playing live. Plus, Bev lives in Birmingham still and Jeff is now residing in Beverly Hills.

I think the Beatles featuring John & George's sons replacing their deceased dads has more of a chance of seeing the light of day myself Smiley

It doesn't seem likely, but then again back in the 90s, how likely was it Jeff would ever try to tour again? Who woulda thunk, back in the early 80s, Jeff would one day be in a band with Bob Dylan? Ya never know. If enough people wanted it, it would happen.

Regarding last post: Thats the thing, life is too short to let things , whatever they are, get in the way. Maybe they have their reasons for not wanting to do it but to try to recapture the chemistry again, well why not?
The magic they had together cannot be ignored and they all know it but cannot reconcile the past and start something new. Seemingly,  especially Jeff.
And lastly what about the fans who bought their records and went to the concerts?
After all it's the fans who helped make them famous.
As for serena's comment "You can't rewind your life..." , you think that I'm living in the past?
Well I don't think so.... , I just would like to see the magic again and it's not too late.

It's the chorus from the title track of Orchestra's No Rewind, and it's my email signature, not a swipe at you.

I just happen to like both the song and the line.

Wow! Do you have any idea if they will come to Japan.
I live in Japan. Saw the George/ Eric concert here..
Bev Bevan's move consists of a couple ELO II members.
What became of the Bev Bevan Band?

It seems they have just changed their name and decided to churn out Move songs instead.

Shame as the 3 gigs I saw in Birmingham were fabulous.

Hello again all,

Well if you've seen the live 8 concert in London and the Floyd reunion you were treated to a piece of history.
The floyd sounded great!!
If they can do it so can ELO, you never know.

As I have posted elsewhere many times, the ELO problem is a lot more complicated to settle than a feud between two people is. Besides, I am pretty sure that Jeff was not invited.

And I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the floyd to do it again. But you are right...the sound was awesome!!!

Hello ELO_chick,

You're probably right about the floyd doing an album or a tour.
But I would'nt rule out another special appearance concert of some sort in the future. At least thats what I think.
Roger seemed genuinely very happy to be on the stage again.
I'm not saying this has anything to do with anything at all.
As for ELO the point of my comments is that anything can be overcome even a complicated feud.
Lets hope that this can be accomplished starting with Jeff and Bev and Richard.
I hope that any former member of ELO would read these comments from the fans and realise how we feel.
But ultimately it's their decision of course.

Later!
