Hi. I?m new here. I thought I knew every single Elo-song, but a few months ago I heard a song - I don?t know the title - but I think it?s Jeff singing something like "because they?re keeping their dreams alive" or so, with orchestral arrangements and a very pretty elo-esque tune. Can you help me? Is it a B-side? Perhaps an OST? Is it really an Elo song? I have visited the huge "Jeff Lynne song's database" and can?t find it out.
Thank you in advance.
P.D.: More of this lyrics:
Tonight the rain is falling - full of memories - of people and places...

I believe you're referring to "Keeping the dream alive" by Freiheit. From the album Fantasy released in 1988. It has absolutely nothing to do with Jeff.

Lyrics

tonight the rain is falling
full of memories of people and places
and while the past is calling
in my fantasy i remember their faces

the hope we had way much too high
way out of reach
but we have to try

the game will never be over
because we keepin? the dream alive

i hear myself recalling
think you said to me the night it all started
and still the rain is falling
make me feel the way i felt when we parted

the hope we had way much too high
way out of reach
but we have to try

no need to hide
no need to run
cause all the answers come one by one

the game will never be over
because we keepin? the dream alive

i need you?
i love you?

the game will never be over
because we keepin? the dream alive

Personally I can't stand the song.
