The release on iTunes has been postponed. Some deal is going on to try and get the song on the charts.

No idea, cant find it on iTunes or any download site.

To be honest, it's a bit of a shambles. How can the song do well if it aint available?!

thats exactly how i feel. My local radio station will not even play it. How are people going to know its available if they do not hear it.

Evidently iTunes releases new mp3s on Tuesdays only. That would be Jan 30.

The more I listen to ZOOM, the more I like it.  "Moment in Paradise," "Stranger on a Quiet Street," and "Ordinary Dream" are all standout tracks.  Sure, it is solo Jeff Lynne, but who cares?  My only complaint, and it is a minor one, is I wish that Jeff had incorporated the orchestra/choir sound effects of the Face The Music, A New World Record, and Out of the Blue period.  But ZOOM is still a very, very good album.  And, who knows, maybe we'll see a "new" ELO record in 2007...

Someone posted on another forum today that "something huge is being planned with Jeff on the scale that we have all dreamed of."

Can anyone confirm this?

I'm sure Bev and Kelly are kicking themselves now that ELO are receiving all of this renewed interest. Too bad they can't mend fences.

You should direct that last comment to Jeff rather than to Bev or Kelly, both of whom have expressed many times that they would like to remain friends with Jeff.

No reason for Kelly to be kicking himself. Part of the renewed interest in ELO is due to the very successful live performances of the Orchestra in the UK this summer. One rumor has it that the release of the remasters was delayed until after their tour was over to take advantage of all the live publicity for the songs. Jeff should kiss the ground they walk on.

Greetings fellow ELO nuts !

Have just become an ELO obsessive...prompted by seeing their Wembley gig on BBC4 I got into Out Of The Blue in a big obsessive way !

Subsequently went out and bought Eldorado, Discovery and A New World Record...Blown away by all of them...How can an album have so many good songs...a songwriter at the top of his game ?

Looking forward to the re-release of Face The Music and Out of the Blue...Such an underrated band in this day and age !!

Welcome to the bandwagon! Too bad that you bought ANWR. The remaster is coming out on September 12.

13  ELOFANS.COM / ELO influenced bands / L.E.O. on: Apr 15, 2006, 06:44

Here is a band influenced solely by Jeff Lynne and ELO and it shows!! They are streaming 4 songs from their forthcoming album. Yesterday I was listening to them together with a fried on messenger who is 7000 miles away. He said it was like listening to new old ELO songs LOL

L.E.O. is a power-pop-collective..a recording project that began as a tribute to the idiosyncratic genius of Jeff Lynne and the Electric Light Orchestra it has become a Traveling Wilburys-esque creative outlet for a gang of like-minded musician/producers...it was originally conceived by Bleu and includes the diverse talents of Andy Sturmer (Jellyfish), Mike Viola (The Candy Butchers), Jason Scheff (Chicago), Steve Gorman (The Black Crowes), Matt Mahaffey (Self), John Fields (big-time pop-producer), Tony Goddess (pApAs fritAs), Hanson, Eric Barao (The Cautions), Scott Simon (The Argument), and Paula Kelley, among others..
Check 'em out!
